Time to Sign Up for a Free Organizational Webnar!

It has been almost a year since I participated in my first ScrapRack organizational challenge and I am four colors (black, white, metallic, and rainbow) away from having my crafting supplies organized.  You can sign up for the next free online organizational challenge by clicking here:Sign Up for the Resolved to Get Organized Challenge

You will not regret it.  If you want supplies from the ScrapRack before you start you can order by clicking here: Check out the ScrapRack website!

I will post photos of my completed ScrapRack as soon as I get the rest of my stuff put away.  I am trying to decide which part of my house to organize next.  I am thinking that the kitchen would be a great room to work on.  I don't have very many cabinets and there are so many things that are not used in there.

I would love to hear what everyone else would move on to from an organized craft area.

There is a rainbow after the storm!

I really thought that I would be completely done with my organizing by now, but I am still plugging away.  I only get about 15 minutes a day to work on it.  The point is though that I will be done soon.  Every day my scrap area looks better and if do need to work on a project I do know exactly where I can find those products.

Now that I have gone back and added some items, that I originally missed in my organizing, to their appropriate sections, all I have left is my rainbow section.

I had to turn it sideways in the bin to keep it from flopping around.  Here is my ScrapRack with the just rainbow section not in it.  I am temporarily using a folding table. This is three base units and I will not be buying a fourth.  I really want to use up my stuff.  I will eventually purchase a 2x4 expedite shelf from Ikea and put it on its side with the ScrapRack on the top.  All of my scrapbook area furniture is from Ikea and I have two expedite shelf units as well.

I have decided to leave my solid paper nicely sorted on their shelves.  I have my Creative Memories paper separate from other papers by color already.  No reason to change that since it is easily accessible from my scrap chair.  I am pulling the pattered paper out of the bottom shelves in incorporating them into my rainbow section as I get to each color.

I have been putting the little bit of glitter and buttons and flowers that I have in little bags that I bought in the jewelry making section at Walmart.  I got 100 bags for around $2.00 and they are handy for small embellishments.  The glitter bottles do not stay in the ScrapRack pages well.  They are just too bulky.  I marked each back with a sharpie to indicate the glitter brand and color, just in case I ever need that information.

Here is the front of my yellow section.  I am onto green tonight and/or tomorrow.

Borders are finally sorted!

I spent a little bit of time each day over the past five days sorting all of my CM snippets into my border section of the scraprack.  I had so many I ended up having to pull off three spinders and move pages around to make sure everything fit so my spinders were not overloaded.  I actually had a little room on the base to add a spinder.  My first rack has 9 spinders and that is certainly all that will fit.

I ended up emptying a bunch of folders that I just had sitting on a shelf.  Now they are in the recycling.

I have moved my ScrapRack off of my work table so that I have room for present wrapping and whatever other project for which I need that table.  I try to keep it clear so that I always have space to work when needed.

And now I am back to my color section.  More on that in my next post.
